----------------------- Inside the Cabinets -----------------------
It's sad to admit, but not until last month did I finally take advantage of the storage space in my cabinets...I know, I know. I had extra laundry supplies and paint stored in the cabinets but that was about it. Laziness at it's finest or a lack of motivation...I'm thinking a combination of the two.
Dollar tree bins
Once I finally had the motivation to start organizing the cabinets I did the easiest and best thing: shopped at the Dollar Tree. While these containers may not be the prettiest things ever, they're only a buck each! I just grabbed a bunch of white containers and began organizing. I was hoping both circle patterned containers would fit side by side in a cabinet, but no such luck. I now have laundry supplies (for the most part) in the cabinet on the right and paint and cleaning supplies in the left cabinet. Previously our cleaning supplies were scattered in various bathrooms, under the kitchen sink, and at the top and bottom of our coat closet and now it's all together in one place! Yay! It's so nice knowing where to find what I need when it comes to cleaning!
The All detergent containers are used for dryer lint. I may spray paint the containers at some point to make them look more like "official" lint containers, but right now I'm not too concerned. The middle cabinet is just used right now for spare things like light bulbs and extra air fresheners. I don't plan on leaving the cabinets like this, it's organized but there's definitely room for improvement. Thoughts?

Floor Cabinet
There's not a whole lot of storage space in the floor cabinet, but I definitely try and make the most of it. Right now it's still sort of a cabinet for the miscellaneous. I don't have a lot in it, hopefully it will stay that way, but somehow I doubt it. I have two storage bins, one for old towels and wash clothes for cleaning, and a junk one. I've put all my spray paint up on the shelf too.
The bottom of this cabinet works well right now for extra furnace filters, dog food, and the occasional extra water softener salt pellets. Down the road I'll add hooks on the inside of the doors to hang my Swiffer, or my coat temporarily... or something!

Dog Food Container
There's nothing amazing about this dog food container, but I just love how perfectly it fits in between the dryer and cabinet. It's tucked away enough so it's not in the way of the little floor space we have in the room, aka our shoe drop off spot.

Down the road I hope to add a coat rack, drying rack, and some sort of shelf between the furnace and water heater. These things will be nice to have, but I don't mind if it takes awhile to get them done. The main remodel is about complete! Watch out for my next laundry room remodel update this week! We just installed the cabinet hardware and the room is starting to look finished!
