Our DIY Cabinet converted into a Fishing Gear Storage Shelf

Our dear friend has taken over the construction of the upper wall cabinets in our kitchen. He removed the one we built in order to properly build one that actually FITS in the space. Nate and I are proud of the cabinet we made and wanted to re-purpose in some way. Between the 3 of us, we decided to hang it up in the garage over our recent tool chest purchase and next to the fridge. It fits in the space perfectly! It now holds Nate’s tackle boxes and additional gear. He also installed 2 fishing poles racks in the garage to keep them organized, out of the way and off the floor. We’re all happy now!

Down the road I have plans to paint the cabinet and I will definitely be posting a walkthrough of the refinishing of the tool chest pictured. Both projects will probably be started in the spring of 2018.
