Master Bath Makeover - Planning Stage

Oh hey! Yes I still have a blog and I know it's been awhile since my last post. The last 6 months have been absolutely chaotic between my job and home life. Bad news, the kitchen renovation has come to a stand still and is currently on hold. Yes, that means my half done upper cabinet is just that... And yes it breaks my heart to see my kitchen only 10% done. But hey I have a functional kitchen again...so there's a silver lining right? The good news? I gave our master bath a makeover in the last 2 months! Below was our dingy, TINY bathroom before:

As you can see there is barely any counter space or under the cabinet storage (only 3 of

the doors are usable). The towel rack sat low above the toilet so that any towel you hung dusted the top of the toilet. YUCK! Poor dated lighting. A linen closet that could only access when the bathroom door was shut, and the bathroom door could only be shut if you stood by the toilet.

Note: I posted awhile back that I took the door off of the linen closet and organized those shelves. These photos are from when we first closed on our home.

Luckily I am the only one using this bathroom so every bit of storage available is mine to occupy. However, trying to get ready with 30 items on the counter was like a juggling act. Items were constantly rolling off the counter into the sink or neighboring trash can, and on rare occasions (luckily) falling in the toilet. Enough was enough.

This was my plan and list of updates for the rest of this tiny master bathroom with the goal of maximizing every ounce of space:

- Paint walls and trim

- Maximize Space

- Add hand towel rack with additional storage

- Remove Towel Rack

- Add towel hooks

- Add Shelves

- New Light Fixture

- Cabinet Hardware

- Organize under cabinet storage
